Cold streams, warm rocks
When your arms are done from paddling, go and sit in a cold stream. Pozo Azul is the close one, on the edge of town. Pescaderito, near Curití, is a string of natural pools and rock slides where locals spend whole Sundays.
Pozo Azul is a set of natural pools on the Quebrada Curití about 2 km from the centre, beside the road to Bucaramanga. Colombia's official tourism site calls it minutes from the city. One source says its old facilities had been left run-down, so ask us how it's looking before you go.
Pescaderito sits near Curití, between the veredas El Carmen and El Común, and it's the local favourite for a family day: pools in a row, smooth rocks to slide down and, per Wikivoyage, camping is possible. Buses to Curití leave from San Gil's Terminalito, and from there it's a short trip on.
No prices here on purpose: they depend on the operator, the date and the group. Ask us and we’ll confirm current terms.
Pozo Azul if you want something close to town for an hour. Pescaderito if you want a whole lazy day with more pools and rock slides.
Wikivoyage says camping is possible at Pescaderito. Ask locally for current rules.
Yes — Cueva de la Vaca is also near Curití, so a muddy morning in the cave and an afternoon in Pescaderito works well.
We have ticked this one for you. Add others, pick a date and group size, and send it all in one WhatsApp message.

Moss-draped river island in town

Your own ring, real rapids
Same river as the Fonce raft trip, but this time you are the boat.
